doubleplusgood

The rain stopped.  And then it snowed.  And then the sun came out.  Quilt picture time!

I’ve named the quilt the DoublePlusGoodQuilt.  Yep.

This link will take you to the first image, in its original size (huge!) in case you want to scroll across the quilt top and see what’s going on there.
View it huge!

See if you can spot the fabrics I made or altered–there’s an original batik, some potato prints, and some wrong-side out fabrics.

Currently my plan for quilting this is a vertical honeycomb, then binding with yellow.  We shall see.

  1. Very cool! I spied (with my little eye) the potato prints, but I couldn't find the inside-out fabric. I love the Authentic prints – I'm making a quilt out of that line right now!

Can't wait to see the honeycomb quilting. Do you mark the quilt for that?

  2. Love the HUGE photo! I clicked on it. That was a cool way to look at it! This quilt is so cool!

    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Yes, this is a twin-size quilt. I'm going to do the quilt on a longarm, so no marking on the quilt…I'll buy or make a pantograph.

  4. seriously, this is SO beautiful rossie! i love-ity love the colors, all the wordy fabrics, the pattern, it's great!

  5. You've just inspired me. I've got random blocks of red scraps that are beautiful but need pizazz. I think a lovely cross in each one would be perfect. You rock!
