QuiltCon Linky Party

The MQG has a post up asking people going to QuiltCon to share their faces a little information about themselves so that we can all know each other a bit better when we arrive in Austin.

Well, here’s me…

As for five things you may not know about me:
1.  Let’s start with one that makes me easy to find in a crowd:  I’m quite tall: 5’9″ (175cm).
2.  I grew up in Wisconsin and am a huge Packer fan.
3.  When my school suggested that I skip kindergarten, I had only one question, “Do they have naptime in first grade?”  I’m still a big fan of sleeping.
4. I have a patch of varicose veins on my left leg; it is odd, but I kind of like them…they remind me of my Grandma.
5. I love board games.  My latest obsessions are CarcassonneDominion, and Rummikub.

Sunday is Marmalade Quilt with Elizabeth Hartman.

I'm hoping to catch some meetups with online people – it's so crazy to try to get organized about it though!

  1. yay for board games! i love carcassonne, and am also a big fan of settlers of catan. we got seven wonders for christmas, and it's quickly become my favorite game. it's a little complicated, but once you get the rules it's insanely fun.

  2. I'm not going to Quiltcon, tho' I wish I were! Would love to meet you in person. Love your work and your articulate posts. If you love board games you might also like Articulate. Have you tried that? It's kind of like Pictionary, but instead of drawing you describe as many words as possible in the time limit to your team members. Hilarious and fun, ESP for verbal people.

  3. Haha! I too have a patch of varicose veins (my inner right thigh) that remind me of my Gran and I'm 176cm tall. I have loved these random facts posts, it's been such fun reading random facts about people. See you in Austin 🙂
